PRIVATE MARINA

The sun rised this summer on Port Hercule and if you had the chance to walk on the quay Antoine 1er, then you would have smelled a fragrance mixed of hot coffee and croissants. This comes from the Monaco Marine Private Marina. Indeed, this summer, every Wednesday on its private pontoon, a typical French breakfast was dedicated to captains who are in Monaco. On this occasion, we met Arthur Bohr, the Director of the Monaco Private Marina.

Where came this idea of a Captain’s French Breakfast ?

We live all year long on Port Hercule and our neighbourhood is made of captains and crew members that are quite often changing of location, especially during the summer. They are moving a lot and this period is intense for them as their owners or guests are on board. And when I discuss with them, they always signify their wish to meet more people and to organize social meeting, through sports for example, and to get a little break in a captains’ everyday life. As part of the small place of Port Hercule, I decided to organize for them a friendly and exclusive moment where they could take time, sometimes an hour, sometimes half an hour, to meet each other, to share their experience as captains and as summer citizen of Port Hercule. We organize it as a breakfast but sometimes it is also for a drink in the evening. The idea is to create a rendez-vous where they are free to come, with no conventions, in private and if their agenda allow them to come.

What is exactly the Monaco Marine Private Marina ?

When you arrive at the Marina, we welcome you in front of our exclusive private pontoon in Monaco, we park your car, we take you to your yacht, we carry your luggage and we help you with maneuvers. Then, in total security and in private, with family or friends, you can enjoy your day. This is possible because we took care of your yacht all along the year. We clean the boat inside & outside, we fill up the tanks, we fill the fridge and we deliver some foods, fruits or beverages. For your pleasure and security, our engineers check your yacht before and after each sea trip. At Monaco Marine our slogan is “Pleasure is a serious matter”, and as I am used to say to all my clients, we manage the serious part of your pleasure. We make everything to allow you to enjoy your day. And in case you would face a problem on your yacht, you automatically benefit from our shipyard’s network. Indeed the network can offer you more than 20 years of experience in maintenance and refit for yachts. 

Arthur, do you have an example of an owner experience inside your private marina in Monaco during this summer?

Yes, this year we had a British family who bought their first yacht. We helped them from the start, registration, insurance and maintenance. We solved a few things to allow them to enjoy her quickly. Then we helped them to handle the maneuvers, we booked the ports along the trip, we booked restaurants, hotels, and we guided them on where to go and what to do to have a real Riviera experience. Our Monaco based clients leave busy and full lives. Our aim is to make it easy for them to quickly switch into holiday mode and experience a magical break, one that leaves them feeling they have been sailing for weeks.  

Who is welcome in your Monaco Private marina ?

We welcome all yachts from 8 to 33 meters (110 feet). We also welcome yachts who want to stay a few nights and benefit from our services.
