Its modernised and updated historical logo sets the tone. A little over a year after its change of ownership, SLAM has entered a new era, resolutely turned towards modernity, without forgetting its origins. With Enrico Chieffi at the helm since July 2021, the Italian company founded in Genoa in 1979 intends to reaffirm SLAM’s identity and leadership in high-quality technical clothing for sailing and seafarers. This year, the brand has released “FOIL”, a new high-performance range with a clean and dynamic design, based on the latest cutting-edge technologies. The company now also relies on its “Dream Team”, made up of some fifteen high-flying professional sailors who represent the brand and bring their expertise in the design of their products. Among them is Tommaso Chieffi, who took part in the 1984 Olympic Games, won the Louis Vuitton Cup, among other things, and now competes on various classes. “Being an ambassador is a great responsibility, not only to the company but also to our customers, for whom we must be honest and frank,” says the Italian sailor. The company is also committed to environmental protection, notably through its partnership with the One Ocean Foundation created by the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda.
