custom line – Ferretti Group
Ferretti Group‘s 38-metre Navetta is the latest addition to the Custom Line family, in which renowned architects and designers are responsible for the creation of each model, with the customer as a priority. From her profile to her interior fittings, the Navetta 38 is a perfect reflection of the quest for perfection.

Among the seven brands of the Italian Ferretti group (Riva, Ferretti Yachts, Wally, Pershing, CRN, Itama and Custom Line), the one called Custom Line brings together 30 to 50-metre flybridge models of undeniable elegance. And, as their names clearly indicate, these boats are highly customisable. So buyers have more than just their say, and their wishes are taken into account by the shipyard. Launched at the beginning of this year, the Navetta 38 has already made a very positive impression. Let‘s take a look at this yacht designed for cruising enthusiasts! Without further ado, let‘s admit that her slightly classic profile is seductive. And she will remain so even as she ages. Her lines are timeless, an asset in many respects, particularly when it comes to resale. To whom does she owe this profile? Primarily to a renowned Italian architect and designer, we have chosen Filippo Salvetti, who is extremely competent in the field of superyachts. As part of the Ferretti Group, he designed this 38-metre yacht in close collaboration with their Strategic Product Committee (Piero Ferrari) and Engineering Department. For the interiors, the shipyard relied on an equally renowned name, the ACPV design office of architects Antonio Cittero and Patricia Viel. These specialists have, of course, maintained an ongoing relationship with the shipowner. Now it‘s time for a tour of this 38-metre yacht, with her sleek, refined lines and a total surface area of almost 500 m2.
Generous outdoor areas
Clearly, the shipowner has placed a great deal of emphasis on exterior comfort, by which he means plenty of open spaces so as not to miss out on the spectacle of the sea. The three decks overlooking the hull offer 245 m2 of space for a wide range of relaxing activities. First of all, honour to the beach club with its two bulwarks, a bathing platform that can be partly submerged and a bench seat: what more could you want for anchorages! A few steps further up, you reach the cockpit area, with a saloon and dining table on this model. Another great place to relax is the foredeck (40 m2), with three lounges and four sunbathing mattresses. Let‘s now move on to the upper deck, which boasts a beautiful 50 m2 terrace where a Jacuzzi could be installed. In the meantime, it offers a sofa for five passengers aft and a dining table for ten on the starboard side. All that‘s missing are a few deckchairs. Continuing upwards, we get access to the sundeck with its vast 80 m2 surface area, protected in the centre by a roof. The view from here is panoramic: 360 degrees! There are deckchairs, sunbathing mattresses, a lounge and a Jacuzzi.
Her decoration creates a gentle atmosphere
Antonio Citterio and Patricia Viel designed the interior fittings, which occupy three decks. Their mission was to focus on optimising volumes, and therefore their ergonomics. The aim was to offer impeccable habitability. The theme of the Navetta 38 is therefore conviviality. And in the specifications, the quest for natural light and, by extension, views of the outside, appeared in capital letters, hence the extensive glazing on the main and upper decks. As we were able to observe in the common area combining the saloon and dining room, and also in the upper deck saloon housing the wheelhouse. In terms of decoration, the Navetta 38 presented to us gave pride of place to light colours (beige and ivory) and natural materials such as oak, leather, linen and raffia. The lower deck, with its four guest cabins each with a double bed and private bathroom, also has a very gentle atmosphere. The forward section is dedicated to the crew, with three cabins (3 x 2 bunks) and a mess. As for the owner, he has a 50 m2 suite at the very front of the main deck, which we found very comfortable.
Anti-pollution technology
The Custom Line Navetta 38 has big ambitions when it comes to sailing. With her two MAN V12 diesels, each with 1,400 hp, she has a range of 2,800 miles at a speed of 10 knots. At maximum engine speed, she can do 15 knots. It’s important to remember that this unit is SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) compatible, which means a 70% reduction in NOx (nitrogen oxide) emissions. The Ferretti Group is very committed to environmental protection and sustainable development. To improve stability, this 38-metre yacht is fitted with Naiad stabilising fins and three Seakeepers (2 x NG18 and 1 x NG9). The Ferretti group can pride itself on having brought large flybridges to the market, a highly attractive concept from every point of view. The Custom Line Navetta 38 should clearly have a special place at autumn shows
