The Trophée Virginie Hériot, formerly Women Leading & Sailing, took place from 14th to 16th March in Monaco. This women-only event, contested aboard J70s, brought together 21 crews from 9 different nations. Supported by the Pink Wave collective, a group of enthusiasts from the Yacht Club de Monaco, the regatta paid tribute to the French sailor Virginie Hériot, who was the first woman to win a gold medal at the Amsterdam Olympic Games back in 1928. Crews from all over the world participated in this three-days long competition, including three from the Manhattan Yacht Club (USA) and the Indian Harbor Yacht Club (USA), the Royal Thames Yacht Club (GB), the Société Nautique de Saint-Tropez and of course the Yacht Club de Monaco, led by Anne Rodelato. The regattas took place in light easterly conditions on the first day, rising to 15-20 knots by the end of the event thanks to a steady Mistral. The British team from Royal Thames Yacht Club won the Gold category, Canelle 2 from the Club Nautique de la Croisette won the Silver category, and the local Pink Wave team finished first in the Bronze round. Well done Ladies!
