The regatta brought together 28 teams from ten countries – Hungary, Portugal, Poland, France, the United Kingdom, Germany, Denmark, Switzerland, Lithuania and Spain. The weather conditions were very changeable over the three days, adding an extra challenge for the crews and the Race Committee. On the decisive Sunday, the last three races took place, with the discard system in effect. Despite mixed results (8-11-2), consistent performance throughout the weekend and judicious use of discarded points enabled Noticia to win the overall classification in this fifth event. The battle for second place was particularly intense and was decided on a tiebreaker, with Bodega Can Marlès coming out on top. HSN Sailing Team completed the podium in third place. After five races since September, and a total of 42 races started and seven disqualifications, HSN Sailing Team remains at the top of the provisional overall standings of the International Barcelona J70 Winter Series with 118 points. The Mediterranean fleet of the Barcelona Winter Series will meet from 20th to 22nd February for the sixth round of the circuit, which will consist of a total of seven rounds and will end in March, coinciding with the start of the Barcelona J70 Spring Regattas. Many teams continue to use the Winter Series as essential preparation for the J/70 European Championship, which will be held in Barcelona from 20th to 26th July 2026.

Clube Naval de Cascais (CNC)

Nacionalgest Christmas Race

During the Christmas season, the Clube Naval de Cascais organised the 2025 edition of the NacionalGest Christmas Race, an event that has now become emblematic of its sporting calendar. This regatta was a true celebration of sailing, bringing together more than two hundred sailors competing across seven different classes and representing several national and international clubs.Faithful to a well-established tradition, the Clube Naval de Cascais hosted the event on the first weekend of December. Supported by NacionalGest Consultores de Seguros, the Marina de Cascais, and the Portuguese Sailing Federation, the importance of this competition in the CNC’s sporting calendar was reflected in an outstanding entry list, with no fewer than 218 sailors from various national clubs and 54 international clubs. For three days, they were the main protagonists of a true celebration of sailing – an event marked by a high level of competition, camaraderie among participants, and a festive spirit. However, as the saying goes, it was not all plain sailing in this championship. Over the weekend of 6th– 8th December, the first two days of competition were significantly affected by less favourable weather conditions, dominated by light and variable winds. These challenging conditions tested both the sailors’ patience and their technical skills. On Sunday, the final day of the event, nature delivered its own spectacle, and the athletes rose to the challenge without hesitation. Strong winds and rough seas made the decisive races, which determined the final standings, even more thrilling, showcasing the skill, expertise, and endurance of all participants.

J/70 World Championship

Clube Naval de Cascais is proud to announce that it will host the J/70 World Championship from 4th to 12th September. This prestigious invitation-only superyacht regatta takes place in the heart of the Aegean Sea. Organised in collaboration with the Yacht Club of Greece, the event brings together a carefully selected fleet of yachts over 30 metres in length.Created by owners for owners, the Cyclades Cup was born out of a desire to offer a different kind of experience: a regatta where competition blends seamlessly with sharing among crews and families, both on the water and ashore. The races take place in the waters surrounding Antiparos and the neighbouring Cyclades, in one of the most inspiring sailing areas of the Aegean Sea. What truly defines the Cyclades Cup is its continuity. Owners and crews return year after year, drawn not only by the sailing, but also by the shared rhythm, familiar faces, and the quiet assurance of belonging to a community that identifies with the event’s values. Over time, the regatta has become a ritual: far more than a sporting event, the Cyclades Cup offers an experience of refined yet relaxed yachting competition.

Société Nautique de Genève (SNG)

Bol d’Or du Léman

The Bol d’Or du Léman is the largest inland regatta in Europe and one of Switzerland’s most iconic sailing events. The event brought together more than 130 guests. Funds raised were donated to the President’s Challenge. Founded in 1826, the Republic of Singapore Yacht Club (RSYC) commemorated its rich heritage during an evening that reflected both tradition and its long-standing commitment to serving the nation. The event traced its journey, closely intertwined with Singapore’s maritime history. The gala also marked the launch of the RSYC’s bicentenary programme, which will run throughout 2026 and aims to energise member engagement through a series of sporting and social activities. It brought together distinguished figures who have shaped the club across generations. Looking ahead, the Republic of Singapore Yacht Club will continue to build on its heritage as a leading institution, honour its maritime history, and write its next chapter for the centuries to come through landmark events and activities that make a meaningful contribution to national causes and to Singapore’s future. Today, the RSYC is a premier destination for sailing enthusiasts, offering a full range of marina facilities, berthing services, hospitality amenities and community-focused programmes. Its ideally located marina provides convenient access to Singapore’s Southern Islands, while its clubhouse features dining, leisure and recreational spaces for members, their guests and partners. True to its values of camaraderie, sportsmanship and a passion for the sea, the RSYC preserves its legacy while evolving to meet the needs of a modern and dynamic yachting community.

Iate Clube de Santos (ICS)

Socio-environmental responsibility

The sea has always been far more than simply a setting for sport and leisure at the Iate Clube de Santos. It is its essence, its responsibility and its commitment. From the sea to the mangroves, throughout 2025 the ICS strengthened its socio-environmental responsibility through ongoing initiatives focused on conservation, environmental education and community engagement, thereby reaffirming a mission that is an integral part of its identity: caring for the ecosystems that connect people, the sea and the city. In recognition of this ongoing work, the Iate Clube de Santos has, for the fourth time, secured the renewal of the Blue Flag certification, an international accolade attesting to excellence in environmental management, safety and water quality. Through management focused on socio-environmental responsibility, numerous initiatives have been implemented to preserve wildlife and plant life within its facilities and in the surrounding areas. These include clean-up actions along the Santo Amaro River; measures to protect coastal conservation areas and environments essential to marine biodiversity; mangrove clean-up and preservation initiatives carried out in partnership with Sea Shepherd Conservation Society; the rescue of more than 197 animals (birds, mammals, reptiles and marine species) as part of the Projeto Maré Mangue; as well as the rehabilitation and release of sea turtles, supported by the Iate Clube de Santos through the Projeto Gremar. All these initiatives are carried out or supported by the Iate Club de Santos.

“The socio-environmental responsibility of the Iate Clube de Santos is intrinsically linked to the nautical culture that the ICS has preserved for decades, where tradition, respect for the sea and an awareness of the responsible use of natural resources converge to promote sustainable navigation and environmental preservation as an enduring duty to present and future generations,” states Commodore Berardino Antonio Fanganiello. Beyond isolated actions or certifications, the Iate Clube de Santos regards sustainability as a permanent commitment.
