The 51st<\/sup> edition of the InterClubs Championship \u2013 Jordi Vives Trophy delivered an intense and tactical offshore race along the coastal Barcelona\u2013Maresme\u2013Barcelona course, bringing together 27 boats for one of the most emblematic competitions on the Catalan sailing calendar. Organised by the Real Club N\u00e1utico de Barcelona, the event enabled the fleet to compete over two days of racing in radically different conditions, testing both the speed and the tactical skills of the crews. The overall winner was Es Tes Unno\u2026, the Dufour 44 Race helmed by Cisco Soldevila (Real Club N\u00e1utico de Barcelona), who delivered a remarkable performance on this course with its contrasting conditions. Second place went to the high-performance TP52 Blue Carbon Aproperties, helmed by Toni Guiu (RCN Barcelona), while the IMS 50 Duende, helmed by Jacinto Rodr\u00edguez (Club N\u00e1utico de Arenys de Mar), completed the podium in third place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Barcelona J70 Winter Series<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Noticia wins the fifth round of the Barcelona J70 Winter Series, while HSN Sailing Team consolidates its first place in the overall standings.At the end of January, the Real Club N\u00e0utico de Barcelona hosted the fifth round of the Barcelona J70 Winter Series, a new chapter in the winter circuit that once again highlighted the dynamism of the J70 class in the Catalan capital. The regatta brought together 28 teams from ten countries \u2013 Hungary, Portugal, Poland, France, the United Kingdom, Germany, Denmark, Switzerland, Lithuania and Spain. The weather conditions were very changeable over the three days, adding an extra challenge for the crews and the Race Committee. On the decisive Sunday, the last three races took place, with the discard system in effect. Despite mixed results (8-11-2), consistent performance throughout the weekend and judicious use of discarded points enabled Noticia to win the overall classification in this fifth event. The battle for second place was particularly intense and was decided on a tiebreaker, with Bodega Can Marl\u00e8s coming out on top. HSN Sailing Team completed the podium in third place. After five races since September, and a total of 42 races started and seven disqualifications, HSN Sailing Team remains at the top of the provisional overall standings of the International Barcelona J70 Winter Series with 118 points. The Mediterranean fleet of the Barcelona Winter Series will meet from 20th<\/sup> to 22nd<\/sup> February for the sixth round of the circuit, which will consist of a total of seven rounds and will end in March, coinciding with the start of the Barcelona J70 Spring Regattas. Many teams continue to use the Winter Series as essential preparation for the J\/70 European Championship, which will be held in Barcelona from 20th<\/sup> to 26th<\/sup> July 2026. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the Christmas season, the Clube Naval de Cascais organised the 2025 edition of the NacionalGest Christmas Race, an event that has now become emblematic of its sporting calendar. This regatta was a true celebration of sailing, bringing together more than two hundred sailors competing across seven different classes and representing several national and international clubs.Faithful to a well-established tradition, the Clube Naval de Cascais hosted the event on the first weekend of December. Supported by NacionalGest Consultores de Seguros, the Marina de Cascais, and the Portuguese Sailing Federation, the importance of this competition in the CNC\u2019s sporting calendar was reflected in an outstanding entry list, with no fewer than 218 sailors from various national clubs and 54 international clubs. For three days, they were the main protagonists of a true celebration of sailing  –  an event marked by a high level of competition, camaraderie among participants, and a festive spirit. However, as the saying goes, it was not all plain sailing in this championship. Over the weekend of 6th<\/sup>– 8th<\/sup> December, the first two days of competition were significantly affected by less favourable weather conditions, dominated by light and variable winds. These challenging conditions tested both the sailors\u2019 patience and their technical skills.On Sunday, the final day of the event, nature delivered its own spectacle, and the athletes rose to the challenge without hesitation. Strong winds and rough seas made the decisive races, which determined the final standings, even more thrilling, showcasing the skill, expertise, and endurance of all participants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

J\/70 World Championship<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Clube Naval de Cascais is proud to announce that it will host the J\/70 World Championship from 4th<\/sup> to 12th<\/sup> September. This high-level international regatta follows on from the success of the 2025 J\/70 European Corinthian Championship and will once again bring together the world’s elite sailors in this highly competitive series in Cascais. The Clube Naval de Cascais continues to demonstrate its expertise in organising world-class regattas, combining professionalism, rigour and passion. Around 100 boats, more than 500 sailors and approximately 18 nations are expected to take part in the J\/70 World Championship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Yacht Club Italiano presents its 2026 Sporting Calendar, confirming one of the most extensive and well-structured regatta programmes in the Mediterranean. The 2026 season began with the winter challenges of the International Genoa Winter Contest, which brings together Optimist, ILCA 7, ILCA 6 and ILCA 4 crews off the coast of Genoa. Youth sailing continues with the Selezione Interzonale Optimist.
