The event is now a fixture on the international calendar. Last September, ahead of the Monaco Yacht Show, the Yacht Club de Monaco hosted the 3rd edition of the Monaco Smart & Sustainable Marina Rendezvous, dedicated to the marinas of the future. “There’s a great deal of interest in these events,”<\/em> confirmed Jos\u00e9 Marco Casellini, the CEO of M3, the organizer. Since 2021, this event brings together yachting industry players – architects, marinas, innovators, private investors, etc. – to discuss the marinas of the future. Once again, this year, the event attracted many political figures, including Prince Saud Bin Turki Al Saud, Director General of Strategic Partnerships for the Saudi Red Sea Authority, Costa Rican Ambassador Ana Elena Pinto Lozano or representatives of the Arab Republic of Egypt. An enthusiastic supporter of the event, Prince Albert II was once again present to meet the participants and lend his support to the event. <\/p>\n\n\n\n For two days, M3 organised networking workshops, round tables, presentations of innovations and European and international points of view, and conferences on various themes, such as “The impact of the new generation of yachts on marina infrastructures”. It was an opportunity to review the complete ecosystem that marinas represent, as well as the latest innovations for the infrastructures of tomorrow. “We were struck by how quickly technologies are evolving. That’s why I think these meetings are important to have an understanding of what’s going on and what can be used in the construction and management of new marinas. That’s why we also had interest from politicians”<\/em>, the CEO of M3 took stock after long process that lasted several months. Indeed, some 250 start-ups and scale-ups have had their technological solutions assessed by M3 and Blumorpho, experts in positive impact innovation. This year, M3 also organized an architecture competition, which brought together international architect firms and students. “The latter have come up with projects that are incredible in terms of quality and content”, <\/em>said Jos\u00e9 Marco Casellini, pleased to note that some have not only come up with innovative designs, but have even incorporated products from the start-ups participating in the event. “The new generations are keen to give content to form. This means that when you talk about sustainable development and technological innovation, people are listening”,<\/em> the organiser noted with satisfaction. “That is why we organise events like this : the Smart Marina, which focuses on coastal areas and infrastructures, and the Smart Yacht Rendezvous, which uses the same concept for yachts.
