With her typical silhouette and engine configuration, she is a symbol of performance: no less than 40 knots for this open, whose Dutch-born brand has become Italian. This streamline boat also offers cruising comfort for four passengers.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Without complexes, <\/strong>VanDutch models are characterised by a typical open style with a conquering bow. Their sleek lines are designed for yachtsmen who want to stand out on the water. In fact, a VanDutch can be spotted from afar, and performance worthy of the name is expected. Born in the Netherlands, the brand eventually attracted the attention of Cantiere del Pardo and was taken over by this Italian group specialized in open and open hard-top. It  immediately expanded the VanDutch range (32 to 75 feet) with a 56-footer (16.77 m) that keeps the brand’s identity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A 40 knot top speed<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Taking the helm of such a yacht immediately triggers an irresistible desire to flirt with speed, a criterion that Mulder Design put at the top of its list. Of course, performance requires adequate power. Hence, she is equipped with two Volvo Penta IPS950 (2 x 725 hp) and her hull was designed to accommodate this transmission with forward-facing propellers. This allows the 56 to reach 40 knots, which is achievable in fairly mild sea conditions.The shipyard offers a more “reasonable” configuration: 2 x IPS800 (2x 625hp) for a few knots less. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A vast cockpit dedicated to leisure activities<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

VanDutch’s inboard open features a spacious cockpit protected by a high, streamlined windscreen. At the stern, there’s a 1,5 metre deep, full-beam swim platform, ideal for water games, that can also accommodate a small tender or a Seabob. One step higher, over the engine hatch, a sunbed (for 3 to 4) doubles as a bench seat in its forward section. It actually completes the central dining area, with its table and two opposite side settees to share snacks. Meals are served in the space below deck, designed for this purpose. There is also the helm station, including the joystick, now a key element on this type of unit. A footrest should be required for seated piloting. Caution must be taken on the way to the foredeck, since there is no pulpit for aesthetic reasons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cruising for four on the agenda<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The VanDutch 56 is an open designed for family cruising, thanks to an interesting volume under the foredeck. Down the stairs, there is first a saloon on the starboard side (L-shaped sofa and coffee table) opposite a large kitchen unit. It is also possible to enjoy the chef’s dishes in the forward saloon where comfort is ensured. Thanks to the optional bulkhead, which allows the creation of a small independent cabin, this saloon can be converted into a double berth. The VanDutch also offers another sleeping area with a double bed to the left of the staircase, under the floor. It can therefore sleep four passengers. The interior, dominated by white, is resolutely modern. The VanDutch 56 is the archetype of the sporty and livable open, which is her strength. Now under the Italian flag, this Dutch brand has lost none of its appeal\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
