Cantiere del Pardo
With her trendy exterior design and user-friendly interior and exterior fittings, the Pardo GT75 has taken a serious step towards winning over a clientele with a taste for liveable hard-top opens. This sportsboat, which can reach speeds of up to 36 knots with three Volvo Penta IPS1350s, has been designed for family cruising, with an interesting sleeping capacity: two, three or four cabins.

An obvious reminder: the Cantiere del Pardo shipyard, which celebrated its half-century of existence last year, is at the helm of a renowned brand of sailing yachts, Grand Soleil, as well as two powerboat ranges, Van Dutch, acquired in 2020, and Pardo Yachts. The latter includes open, walk around and hard-top models from 38 to 75 feet. The GT75, the flagship of Pardo Yachts and a world premiere at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2024, was designed (profile and interiors) by Nauta Design, one of Italy’s leading designers, who also worked closely with the naval architect Zuccheri Yachts Design. What can be said of the GT75’s silhouette, other than that it honours the open hard-top genre with, among other things, its inverted windscreen and bow, as well as the sweeping lines of its stern. As the saying goes, this GT75 “packs a punch”, particularly when she is making good speed on the sea. To achieve this, she is available in her maxi version with three Volvo Penta IPS1350 diesels, that is to say 3 x 1,000 hp, for a maximum performance of 36 knots announced by the shipyard. And if speed is not in itself an ultimate goal, this Pardo exists in a “wise” version, with three Volvo Penta IPS1050 diesels (3 x 800 hp) for a top speed of 32 knots and a range of 360 miles at 28 knots. Finally, the shipyard’s design office is not ruling out a model with hybrid propulsion (diesel and electric) in a future still undetermined.
A vast, user-friendly stern
Let‘s climb aboard this open hard-top to discover, first of all, a space devoted entirely to relaxation, namely a stern offering a total of 40 m2… there is no better way to serve lovers of farniente. The bathing platform (11 m2) is fitted with a system that allows the central section to be submerged and reached via a ladder. A deckchair can be installed on either side. In sailing mode, this platform can accommodate a 4 to 5 metre long tender. Above, a solarium is available for three or even four passengers. Better still, by lowering each bulwark sideways, you gain space for two extra deckchairs. Three steps higher, we reach the cockpit saloon (15 m2) with its U-shaped bench seat (6 passengers and 2 more by adding two seats). Let‘s continue our tour of the exterior of the main deck, taking the side decks to reach the bow where, once again, the notion of relaxation has not been forgotten. It features an open-air saloon with a U-shaped bench seat (6 passengers) and a solarium (4 UV candidates) covering the deckhouse.

As you would expect, the main deck has an interior volume. This benefits from good natural lighting and offers a panoramic view. The modern decor, with its light tones, is visually enhanced. One can feel right at home in this convivial space, which has a comfortable saloon on the port side (6 passengers thanks to two extra seats) with a fold-away table that can be used for snacks or meals. Opposite is either a sofa or the galley unit in the three- and four-cabin versions. At the very front of the main deck, but fully integrated, is the wheelhouse with its imposing instrument panel. All the controls are grouped together for quick use. Experienced captains can operate the controls using the joystick. A large TV screen, hidden in the ceiling of the three-seater helm seat, can be positioned electrically for passengers’ viewing pleasure. The main deck is accessible via the sliding cockpit door or one of the two doors in the wheelhouse leading to the gangway. To starboard of the latter, a staircase leads to the lower deck.
A choice of two, three or four cabins
Last but not least, the Pardo GT75 offers five configurations on her lower deck. Firstly, the two-cabin model, with a VIP forward (15 m2) and a master aft (20 m2). Between the two, a 15 m2 relaxation area, with an open-plan galley to port and a saloon opposite. Another option is to replace the galley (which would then be located on the main deck) with a saloon in addition to the square. There are two tri-cabin versions (a master, a VIP and a twin), with a choice of galley or saloon. The lower deck features four cabins (one master, one VIP and two twins) that occupy the entire surface area. There is no doubt that this model will have a privileged place in a charter fleet. The interior design of the GT75, with its light colours of off-white and muted brown, will have no trouble attracting yachtsmen looking for a relaxing atmosphere. Added to this strong asset: a well thought-out ergonomic design and a very interesting habitability for an open hard-top yacht. In short, the Pardo GT75 will easily make her mark in the “trendy” hard-top sector.
