Yacht Class n°36 (march-april-may 2024)
Azimut-Benetti group
During the last Monaco Yacht Show, Benetti set a high standard with its new B.Now 50m Oasis Deck, so named for her unique and particularly inviting beach club. The interiors are far from disappointing with large, ergonomic spaces. In total, she offers over 800 m2 of indoor and outdoor space to enjoy the sea in the best conditions.

Creativity is essential for an internationally renowned group such as Azimut-Benetti, which is one of the world‘s top three boatbuilders. Founded in 1873, the Benetti shipyard today specialises in the construction of composite boats from 34 to 44 metres and also of models from 37 to 100 metres with a steel hull and aluminium superstructures. The second family now includes the new B.Now 50m., fitted with an Oasis Deck, a stern designed to make mooring an idyllic experience. Indeed, this deck, and its surface area of up to 110m2, will attract sunbathers and water sports enthusiasts, but also those who prefer the fresh water of the swimming pool (4m x 2.70m). This place, one of the strengths of this yacht, is equipped with an awning to protect against unwanted sunshine. To keep this super beach club as uncluttered as possible, the garage for the tender (6.50m) and the jetski are located under the front part of the main deck, opening onto the technical area where a crane ensures launching.
The sunbridge will quickly become popular
Three steps up from the Oasis Deck, the traditional cockpit of 32m2 accommodates a dining area with a round table for six, a lounge and a kitchenette with barbecue and sink. On the port side, a staircase leads to the upper deck (100m2 in total), which offers generous outdoors: at the aft, a terrace of 75m2 with a lounge for six and a large dining table for twelve while forward, sunbathing enthusiasts will enjoy a 60m2 spot with a U-shaped sofa (6 to 8 guests), a coffee table and a large sunbed (6 seats). Depending on the mood of the moment and the weather, it can also be a good spot for conversations or snacks, even while sailing, at least on calm waters and at cruising speed. This 50-metre flybridge, with massive superstructure, comes as no surprise with a huge 118m2 sundeck. It can be completely open, but remains protected in the centre by a hardtop. It boasts a terrace for sun loungers, then two opposite lounges with sofas for up to ten passengers, or even more by adding seats, plus a dining area with a round table (6 to 8 guests), a storage unit and kitchenette on each side, and finally a sunbed at the end. For those who love numbers: the B.Now 50m. Oasis Deck has 400m2 of exterior surface and slightly more regarding interior volumes.
Ubiquitous comfort and discreet luxury
As for the interiors, the main deck deserves special mention, thanks to its 200m2, including the galley and the master. Let‘s start with the reception area whose design and decoration are the result of close collaboration between the owner and Benetti Style Department, as are most of the living spaces with their contemporary décor of understated luxury. A bay window leads from the cockpit to a welcoming lounge, flooded with natural light thanks to floor-to-ceiling glazing. The second space is the dining area (an oval table for six guests), but with two corner settees. Once the feast is over, it can be transformed into a “home cinema”. The chef enjoys a 12.50m2 main galley, where nothing is left to chance in terms of equipment, allowing him to prepare varied dishes. The forward part of the main deck is the owners‘ “private” area, a master of 50m2 designed for maximum comfort. In addition to the sleeping area with a king-size bed, it has a large walk-in closet facing a desk and dressing table. The bathroom is also an example of comfort. On starboard, a door opens onto a terrace, a bonus that will be appreciated by the owners in search of solitude. The lower deck accommodates four guest cabins: two VIP and two doubles, each with a bathroom with a separate shower. A configuration that makes this 50 metres suitable for charter.
A range worthy of an ocean-going ship
With a displacement of 460 tonnes and conventional diesels engines of 1 400 hp each, the B.Now 50m. Oasis Deck does not exceed a top speed of 15 knots. She does, however, claim a largely transatlantic range: 4 500 miles at 10 knots. The shipyard also offers a diesel hybrid version as an option. This yacht is definitely designed for family cruises but she also has an offshore range. She will be just as comfortable in the Balearics as she will in the Bahamas.
